What is it for?
Nervz-G (Methylcobalamin/Gabapentin) is a type of medicine known as an anticonvulsant that is used to prevent seizures in patients with epilepsy or other seizure conditions. It works by regulating electrical activity and impulses in the brain that trigger seizures. The effect of preventing excess electrical activity can also stop nerve pain caused by herpes or restless leg syndrome. Your doctor may recommend you use this medication along with others or for treating other unlisted conditions, as well.

How do you use it?
Use Nervz-G (Methylcobalamin/Gabapentin) exactly as directed by your doctor and the instructions included with the packaging to get the best results. Most patients with epilepsy are prescribed one tablet taken each day, but the dosage may differ depending on your weight, age, your individual condition, and the severity of your symptoms. Take the tablets with a large glass of water. They may be taken on an empty stomach, but it is suggested to eat a meal or snack before use if you experience nausea. Do not crush or split the tablets before you take them. This can destroy or even alter the effects of the medication. If you have any questions, always ask your doctor before using the medicine to prevent any unnecessary problems or complications.

Any side effects?
Some patients may experience unusual side effects while using Nervz-G (Methylcobalamin/Gabapentin). These can vary in severity and may include:

  • Headaches
  • Dizziness
  • Drowsiness or fatigue
  • Upset stomach or diarrhoea
  • Unusual swelling of the hands or feet
  • Blurry vision

If any symptoms occur that are very worrying or painful, stop taking the medicine and call your doctor as soon as possible. Side effects to be cautious about are increased seizure frequency, fever, flu symptoms, irregular heartbeats, chest pain, trouble breathing, severe stomach pain, darkened urine, discoloured stools, jaundice, or severe skin rashes. Your doctor may tell you to reduce your dosage, how often you take the medicine, or to seek emergency medical assistance in serious or life threatening situations.

Do not take Nervz-G (Methylcobalamin/Gabapentin) if you are lactose intolerant, allergic to any of its contents, or if you have had a bad reaction to any other similar treatments. You should also tell your doctor if you have diabetes, decreased kidney function, or if you suffer from absence seizures as these conditions may cause unexpected complications or even aggravate your condition.
